The Scouts of Gold Troop had their annual camp for the year 2014, from 24 to 29 December at Kandanapitiya Primary School, Ingiriya.

This year the camp program was directly coordinated by Mr. Lasitha Kanuwanarachci and Mr. Pasan Jayakody. A special focus was given to pioneering activities, backwoodsman cooking, hiking and the camp fire. Although the turnout of scouts for the camp was below the expected level, there is no doubt that those who participated gained invaluable experiences.

We also wish to extend our gratitude to Mr. Supun Jayalath, Mr. Widura Ranawaka, Mr. Samitha Wanasinghe, Mr. Lakmal Muthugama, Mr. Pathum Egodawaththa, Mr. Yugantha Perera, Mr. Thiranjaya Kandanarachchi, Mr. Dilanka Bandara and Mr. Bhanuka Abeygunawardane  who supported in carrying out the camp program, setting aside time from their busy schedules to be at the camp.

Also we wish to extend our special thanks to Dr Dinesh Vidyarathna for arranging the camp site and providing all the logistical assistance to make this camp a memorable one for the scouts of the Gold Troop.

Further we are thankful for the generous donations from the 2010 Batch, Mr. Asiri Liyanage and Mr. Sahampathy Dissanayake which made sure that we were able to make a substantial contribution to uplift the facilities at the Kandanapitiya Primary College, where the scouts camped.
