Patrol Leaders’ Council

The Patrol Leaders’ Council commonly known as the PLC is a meeting of the Patrol Leaders of the troop, which is held on the first week of every month. The Chairman of the Patrol Leaders’ Council is appointed as the Junior Troop Leader (JTL) while the Secretary is appointed as the Asst. Junior Troop Leader (AJTL). This is the highest council in the Junior Troop and is only second to the Instructors’ Council in the context of the whole troop. The following are the names of the Chairmen of the PLC or Junior Troop Leaders of Gold Troop that can be found in the recorded history.

Note: In the early stages of the college scouting history the Scout Troops were divided into 2 sections as Junior Troops & Senior Troops. There has been only one Senior Troop while there were several Junior Troops including the Gold Troop. So during this era the Chairman of the PLC occupied the post of Troop Leader which the Chairman of the Instructors’ Council occupies at the present. This system has been in function until the Senior Troop joined the Gold Troop on 4th May 1987.
