The chief architect of the Scout Troop is none other than the Scout Leader. He is the person round whom the Patrols and their Leaders rally and it is he who keeps them together and is responsible to see the Troop progress and builds up traditions. Giving more value to the youth involvement policy and also giving more opportunity to the young & innovative leaders to blossom, the Gold Troop introduced the post of Leader in Charge to its hierarchy in 1997.
